We have officially arrived in the teens on the waiting list! It feels like a milestone, that significant progress has been made- and I like it. The months we spent “in the middle” of the list seemed to go on and on, but now- a light at the end of the tunnel! Granted, whether or not we do in fact get matched with siblings is entirely in the Lord’s hands… but looking at the # 15 is so much more encouraging than 46!
And on to Halloween, last night we had a great time around the house. Dad came by, along with my sister-in-law Beth and our nephew Ryder. He was awesome in his hamburger out fit. And yes, we were those ridiculous people who dressed up their dog- their “hot!” dog (Ok, we got the costume @ 90% off a couple years ago at Target, for $1 and just cant resist putting it on her once a year… she hated it at first, chewed the strap off- but now- she feels like hot stuff wearing it. Even starts wagging her tail when we pull it out of the closet). These two American cookout classics- they were quite the pair. We thought about having hotdogs and hamburgers for dinner, but for some reason- that just didn’t seem right… so we opted for homemade pizzas.
And our number stats:
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble”. Psalm 46:1
The number of human chromosomes
CBS’ station on my TV
In tennis: the first point gained in a game
A Taylor Swift song
The number of guns in a gun salute to Army, Marine Corps, and Air Force Lieutenant Generals, and Navy and Coast Guard Vice Admirals.
