A Big day!

First off, there’s been a lack of posts lately as we’ve been wrapped up in prayer for our precious nephew Creed. I posted his story here a couple months ago, but he had an overwhelmingly scary week and our hearts were heavier than ever, praying for healing of his little body.  I’m beyond grateful to share that he is making improvement and heading in the right direction.  He’s still got a ways to go, but the progress is so encouraging.  Over and over again the Lord kept leading me to verses to just trust in Him, and in my fear it was all I knew to do:

“Don’t be afraid; just believe.” -Mark 5:36.

“But now, Lord, what do I look for?
My hope is in you.” -Psalm 39:7

“For I am the LORD your God
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
I will help you.” Isaiah 41:13

We’re praising the Lord for answered prayers and His faithfulness!

And in other good news, we just got word that our home study has been approved!  Hearing this on top of Creed’s progress, well basically my heart is jumping out of my chest.  In the past 7 days my emotions have been all over the place, and I’m soaking up every minute of this joy.  We’re hoping to send off the homestudy with our remaining Dossier paperwork next week, what a wonderful gift that would be, to have the paperwork behind us, and just wait… And if we can get Creed out of the PICU and back into the BMT unit of the hospital, this might be the most Encouraging.Christmas.Ever.  God is good.

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” Romans 12:12

  1. Wonderful news! You are on your way! Can’t wait to see what God has in store for you two!
